Transcriptomic and immunophenotypic profiling of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from pediatric uveitis patients

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Sarcoidosis
    Uveitis, Healthy
  • Age: Between 4 Year(s) - 17 Year(s)
  • Gender: Male or Female
  • Other Inclusion Criteria:
    1. Willing to provide a blood sample (up to 2 Tbsp), tear fluid, and/or saliva samples
    2. AND
    3. Meets one of the following criteria:
      1. Children (ages 4-17) diagnosed with Sarcoidosis, undifferentiated uveitis or Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA)-associated uveitis
      2. OR
      3. Healthy children (ages 4-17) as control subjects (healthy defined as no uveitis or autoimmune condition diagnosis)
      4. OR
      5. Children (ages 4-17) diagnosed with JIA and no uveitis

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

    1. Children unable or unwilling to provide blood/saliva samples for genetic studies or tear fluid.
    2. Pediatric patients without their legal guardians/parents present at time of consent will not be included in the study.
